Who We are?
Scene at Sea is Ireland’s first collaborative company working with Ireland’s largest selection of highly skilled and talented professional mariners from around the country many of who have years of Film and TV production experience under their belts.
From search and rescue crews through to certified powerboat drivers, professional skippers, lifeguards, powerboat and sailing instructors to certified divers. Scene at Sea brings together the perfect team for each production.

Our Story
Coordinator Jack Shanahan started sailing with his father at the age of 5, and progressed from sailing dinghies to offshore (long distance) racing in sailboats, as both a crew member and skipper. Jack has participated in thousands of offshore miles with notable achievements including multiple Irish Sea Offshore Racing Association events and a win in the world prestigious Round Ireland Yacht Race.
Since 2012 Jack has served as a volunteer crew member with the RNLI lifeboat station in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, and is continuously trained to the highest standard in all aspects of maritime safety and rescue at sea.
